Deadlifts and eggs




 I've had a solid 2 weeks since my last post.  Work has slowed down a little, and I've found some time to hit the gym on a regular basis.  I'm also taking full advantage of my weekends, making sure I get in and train hard.
Contrary to what my hilarious friend Mike says about me losing weight to "get my abs back", that's not my motivation behind it.
This past season I gained 30 pounds of mixed meat.  Some fat, some muscle.  It helped me with some higher end strength, but I took a blow to what I think it my best attribute, athleticism.
So, I've been trimming some weight, and I'm down to 240 at the moment, about 15 pounds from the heaviest a month ago.  Knees feel great.  Body feels explosive.
I have 6 more weeks of volume training before I hit the heavy weights again.  Hopefully some nagging injuries will clear up in that time, and I can get under some big boy weight.  I fully expect to be much stronger and faster than I was last year, and about 15-20lbs lighter.
